How can I send tokens to other Telegram users via TON Space

When sending crypto assets, you will have the option to select the 'Your Telegram Contact' feature. This makes it easier for you to send tokens using your contact’s username.

What types of crypto assets can I send to other users

You can send Toncoin, Jettons, or NFTs on the TON blockchain to other Telegram users via their username.

How does the sending via Telegram Contact works

When you send crypto assets to a Telegram contact, they are sent to the escrow smart contract.

The recipient will receive a notification in TON Space. There, they can choose to either accept or reject the transfer. If accepted, the crypto assets will go to their TON Space. If rejected, the crypto assets will be promptly returned to you. 

As the sender, you will incur a slightly higher fee. This fee covers forwarding to the smart contract and to the recipient's address, as well as the potential return of assets.

What happens if the recipient doesn’t have a TON Space

If a user does not have a TON Space, then they will be able to create one and accept your transfer request.

What if I don’t want to accept transfers from other users

You can reject a transfer from another user. If you do, the crypto asset will be sent back to the sender.

Is my TON Space address shared with someone if I accept a transfer

If you accept a transfer, your TON Space address will be shared with the sender. If you decline, your address will not be visible to them.

What happens if someone doesn’t accept my transfer

The recipient has 14 days to accept the transfer. If not accepted or rejected, crypto assets will be returned to your TON Space. 

Can I cancel a transfer that has not been claimed

Transactions in the blockchain become irreversible once sent. If the recipient fails to claim the transfer within 14 days or it is rejected, it will be sent back to you.

Can I still send assets via the wallet address

Of course, you are not required to use Telegram usernames to send TON, Jettons, or NFTs. You can still use the TON Space address or any other TON blockchain addresses to send crypto assets. To do this, simply select the 'External Wallet' option when sending a crypto asset.
