What is TON Space
Your TON Space is a TON blockchain wallet that you completely control. As it is a Self-Custodial wallet, you are the only party with the private key and Secret Recovery Phrase.
You can send and receive NFTs, Jettons, and TON to your TON Space.
How can I use my TON Space? What are the main functions
Your TON Space is a secure way to manage your TON blockchain assets and interact with DeFi.
You can easily:
- Send and receive TON, Jettons, and NFTs to blockchain addresses.
- Connect to decentralized applications (DApps) that support TON Connect.
- Swap assets within TON Space.
Do I need to have an account in Wallet to create my TON Space
Yes, you will need an account in Wallet to create or import a TON Space. You can create a Wallet account by following this link.
How to create a TON Space
You can create an additional TON Wallet via TON Space by tapping the option in Wallet’s main menu.
- On Wallet’s main screen (where the list of cryptocurrencies is displayed) you will see TON Space Beta. If you are unable to locate it, go to Settings (⚙️ at the top left) and enable 'Display TON Space'.
- Tap TON Space Beta on the main screen. This will redirect you to the ‘Your TON Space’ page.
- Tap ‘Start exploring TON’.
- When you create a TON Space, a non-custodial wallet is generated in the TON blockchain. During the creation process, write down your Secret Recovery Phrase and connect an email address for easier TON Space login and recovery.
- Make sure to save your Recovery Phrase. With it you can log in to your TON wallet from any device or interface that supports non-custodial TON addresses. You can save it after tapping ‘Back Up Manually’.
- Selecting ‘Back Up via Email’ allows you to connect your email address to simplify the login process in TON Space. Read more on how it works.
Important: We encourage you to save your Recovery Phrase, even if you connected an email address. Only the Recovery Phrase allows you to log in to your TON wallet created in TON Space from any device, no matter which Telegram account you use.
Store your Recovery Phrase in a secure manner and never share it with anyone. Wallet and TON Space support will never ask for your Recovery Phrase.
- After you confirm your Recovery Phrase, tap ‘View TON Space’.
How can I import an existing TON wallet to TON Space
TON Space allows you to import existing TON wallets, which can then be accessed from TON Space via the main page of Wallet. After opening TON Space, tap 'Create or import another wallet' and then select 'Add Existing Wallet' and enter the Recovery Phrase of the wallet you wish to import.
Note that only non-custodial TON wallets that have seed phrases you control can be imported to TON Space. Custodial wallets, such as wallets on exchange platforms cannot be added.
Can I access my TON Space from other devices
Yes, you can. To access your wallet created in TON Space on a different device, you have the following options:
- Manually import your existing non-custodial TON wallet by entering its Secret Recovery Phrase on a new device. Read more
- Recover your TON Space on a new device via email. Read more
How many TON wallets can I import into TON Space
You can import several non-custodial TON blockchain addresses within your TON Space account. However, only one wallet can be accessed at a time in your TON Space. To make it easier to switch between non-custodial wallets in your TON Space, turn on email recovery, so that you don't have to enter their Recovery Phrases for every login.
Important: We strongly recommend that you save your Recovery Phrase, even if you added a recovery email address. Only the Recovery Phrase allows you to log in to your TON Space from any device, no matter the Telegram account you use. At any time, you can find your Recovery Phrase within your TON Space Settings > ‘Tap to view phrase’.
I want to change my current TON Space to another one. How can I do it
To do this, you need to remove your current TON Space (instructions here). After that, add another TON wallet address by choosing the TON Space option in Wallet's main menu. Any addresses you have previously imported will appear in a list of existing addresses, which you can select and tap ‘Restore TON Space’ to open.
If the address that you wish to add is not already in the list, tap ‘Create or import another wallet’.
To create a new address, tap 'Start exploring TON'. To add an existing wallet, follow these instructions.
How can I recover my TON Space
You can restore access to TON Space via its Recovery Phrase, or with your recovery email, if email recovery was previously enabled.
Important: email recovery is only possible if you access TON Space from the same Telegram account you used to enable email recovery. Read more about email recovery.
If you use another Telegram account, then you will only be able to restore TON Space with your Recovery Phrase.
Can I recover my TON Space via email
If you previously enabled email recovery during TON Space setup or in your TON Space Settings, you can restore access to your TON Space via email. On the main page, choose the desired address and tap ‘Restore TON Space’.
After that, you will receive a recovery code to your registered email in order to log in.
Important: email recovery is available only from the specific Telegram account that you used to previously enable this feature. If you use multiple Telegram accounts but have one wallet in TON Space, you will need to use your Recovery Phrase to access the wallet in TON Space — as email recovery is only available from one account.
How can I turn on email recovery
By tapping ‘Back Up via Email’ during the creation process you can add your email address as an extra recovery method, in addition to your wallet’s Recovery Phrase.
If you have already created a wallet in TON Space, you can add a recovery email at any time via Settings (the ⚙️ icon in the upper left corner of the TON Space main screen). Tap the icon and then tap ‘Back up’. After that, you will receive a verification code to your specified recovery email. Once verified, your email address can be used to recover your TON Space in the future.
Important: Email recovery works only if you can access both your Telegram account and the registered email. We strongly recommend that you still write down and safely store your Recovery Phrase, so that you never lose access to your TON Space.
How to disconnect TON Space from an app / from several apps
To disconnect an app from your TON Space:
- Go to Wallet settings and select TON Space;
- After that, enter the “Connected Apps” section;
- Tap on the icon for connection removal.
A tap on 'Disconnect all apps' will close all the connections of your TON Space wallet. If you need to reconnect to an app later, you can go to the app and connect your TON Space again.
Which cryptocurrencies and assets does TON Space support
TON Space supports any assets on the TON blockchain, including Toncoin, Jettons, and NFTs.
Can I delete my TON Space
You can remove your TON Space by going to Settings > TON Space > Remove TON Space.
You will always be able to log in to the desired wallet again if you have your Secret Recovery Phrase saved, or if you have account recovery via email enabled.
Note: TON wallet addresses created via TON Space cannot be permanently deleted — as these wallet addresses are permanently saved in the TON blockchain.
What happens with my account when I remove my TON Space
Your Wallet account will remain active and you can continue using it. If you later decide to use TON Spaces again, you can either import your previous wallet, create a new TON Space, or import a different wallet to set up a new TON Space.
How is the fee calculated for NFT/Jetton transactions
Since the fee in the TON blockchain is calculated exactly at the moment of transaction initiation, it is impossible to calculate it precisely before sending. Several factors influence the fee, including transaction size, network congestion, the status of the withdrawal address, and other criteria.
Due to these factors, the withdrawal fee for sending NFTs or tokens is higher than usual. This precaution ensures coverage of potential increased fees at the time of transaction. After withdrawal, any unused amount allocated for fees in NFT or Jetton transactions will be refunded.
Why do I see the ‘Contract deploy’ transaction after the first deposit? Is this the TON Space fee
This transaction occurs when your TON Space address is activated. It is a one-time fee that is automatically charged by the TON blockchain and is required for your address to become active.
Is it possible to recall funds/assets that have been sent
Once assets are sent they can't be recalled as transfers on the TON blockchain are final.
Are the addresses to which I send assets verified by TON Space in any way
I am not able to withdraw from TON Space. I receive an error “Unable to verify transaction”. What should I do
The error means that the transaction wasn’t successfully sent to the blockchain.
This could happen for a number of reasons, such as unstable internet, insufficient funds, or blockchain issues.
To resolve it, please try the following steps:
1. Try sending crypto using a different internet connection. For example, if you use Wi-Fi, then switch to mobile data, or vice versa.
2. Check whether you have enough TON to cover the network fee. The fee may vary from 0.02 to 1.05 TON.
3. Restart your device and try again.
4. Enable "Set time automatically" feature on your device. It can be done in "Settings" → "Date and time" section.
If these steps didn’t help, try to log out of the TON Space wallet, clear your Telegram app cache, log in to TON Space again and repeat the transaction.
How to clear the app cache?
- For iOS: Go to Telegram Settings > Data and Storage > Storage Usage > Clear cache.
- For Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Telegram > Clear cache, and then Settings > Apps > Android System WebView > Clear cache.
Important: Before clearing cache, be sure to save your TON Space Secret Recovery Phrase or enable the email recovery function. You can find the Secret Recovery Phrase or enable email recovery in TON Space settings, by tapping on the 3 dots in the app’s upper right corner.
If the above instructions didn’t solve the issue, please contact Wallet Support. Our team will check your case and inform you on next steps.
I am not able to withdraw from TON Space. I receive an error “You don’t have enough TON to pay for transfer fee”. What should I do
Every blockchain transaction requires a network fee for sending a transfer. All transfers in the TON blockchain pay a commission in TON, regardless of what is being transferred. For example, if you transfer Notcoin, you still need some TON to pay the network fee.
To ensure successful transfers of NFTs or jettons from TON Space, you need at least 1.05 TON in your TON Space wallet for the network fee.
If you don’t have enough TON in your balance, you can top up your TON Space in the following ways:
- Deposit TON from another wallet or from a centralized exchange (CEX). Your Telegram contacts can also transfer TON to you via a Telegram chat.
- Buy TON on the P2P Market in Wallet.
- Buy TON with your bank card in Wallet.
I received a deposit with a small amount of TON, what does this transaction stand for? How could anyone get my address
This is likely a “dust” transaction.
“Dust” refers to a tiny amount of coins or tokens, sent by a group of people to various personal wallets, with an aim to deanonymize the owners of these wallets. Different bots exist, which monitor transactions on the blockchain and send dust to random wallets. Such bots do not need to know your data — after all, they send “dust” to any address that is active (and therefore visible) on the blockchain.
In order not to fall victim to a dusting attack, if possible, do not exchange this “dust” via blockchain and do not withdraw it. Also do not click on unknown links, do not connect your TON Space wallet to unfamiliar or suspicious apps and do not confirm transactions in these apps.
