What is Hamster Kombat? What is the Hamster Kombat token (HMSTR)

Hamster Kombat is a popular Tap-to-Earn game on Telegram with over 250 million players. Hamster Kombat is an independent mini app with no affiliation to the Wallet team.

HMSTR is the official cryptocurrency of the Hamster Kombat project and a jetton in the TON blockchain. Now HMSTR is also available in Wallet.

Are Wallet and Hamster Kombat affiliated

No, Wallet and Hamster Kombat are not affiliated. The Hamster Kombat Bot simply allows you to connect a TON wallet to their mini app in order to participate in giveaways and promotions from the Hamster Kombat team.

How do I get HMSTR

You can already transfer HMSTR to TON Space from @hamster_kombat_bot by selecting “Direct claim”. You are also able to purchase HMSTR from other users via the P2P Market (in the Wallet), as well as with a bank card.

I sent HMSTR to my Wallet, but my Wallet balance hasn’t changed

If you withdrew HMSTR after September 26, and the transaction was successfully sent from Hamster Kombat, you would receive tokens to a non-custodial TON Space wallet. Read more on the differences between Wallet and TON Space.


Step 1. Go to @hamster_kombat_bot, tap on Airdrop, and check the status of your transaction under the Withdrawal tab.


Step 2. If you selected 'On-chain airdrop' or 'Direct claim' and the transaction has been successfully processed, you will be able to see the linked wallet address. The coins have been sent to this address.


Step 3. Open the Wallet app. On the main page (where the list of cryptocurrencies is displayed) you should be able to see TON Space Beta. If you are unable to locate it, go to Settings (⚙️ at the top left) and turn 'Display TON Space' on. 


Step 4. Open TON Space and compare the wallet address. The address should match the one you linked in Hamster Kombat. Next, tap on 'Show hidden tokens' to view the received HMSTR tokens. 


If the wallet address does not match the address linked in Hamster Kombat, it’s possible you previously created a different address (for example, by using a different device). You can try logging in to the correct TON Space address. To do this, log out of the current TON Space wallet by following the instructions. You will then have the option to either create a new address by clicking on 'Create TON Space' or log in to the correct wallet using the instructions.

Do I need to pass KYC to add HMSTR to my Wallet

Since you can withdraw HMSTR from Hamster Kombat only to TON Space at the moment, there is no need to pass KYC for token claim. TON Space is a non-custodial wallet, which only you can access, in the TON blockchain. Read more

Use your TON wallet address only for performing operations with TON, USDT (TON), NOT, DOGS, and HMSTR. Depositing other assets might lead to their loss. Learn more

Which address to choose when depositing HMSTR

You need to use a TON network address to deposit HMSTR. To see the required address:

1. Select ‘Hamster Kombat’ in Wallet’s main menu.

2. Tap the “Receive” button.

3. After that, your HMSTR deposit address, along with a QR code, will be displayed. Copy this address and paste it into the "receiving address" field of the exchange or wallet from where you intend to send HMSTR. Alternatively, you can use your device's camera to scan the QR code.

Can I buy and sell HMSTR

Yes, you have the option to buy and sell HMSTR on the P2P Market.

How to withdraw HMSTR from Wallet

Before withdrawal, please ensure that the service that hosts the recipient’s wallet supports HMSTR and the TON blockchain, since HMSTR is a jetton belonging to the TON ecosystem.

Note: If you send HMSTR to an exchange, you also need to indicate a memo/comment before sending, otherwise you risk losing your funds. This is a requirement of exchanges to be able to identify your transfer on their side. The required memo can be found in your profile on a specific exchange. You need to specify it in the ‘Comment, tag or memo’ field when confirming your withdrawal in Wallet.

Yes, since HMSTR is a jetton in the TON blockchain, you have the option to send it to your non-custodial TON Space wallet from your HMSTR balance in Wallet.

Is there a cost to send HMSTR via TON Space

Yes, when sending HMSTR to a different TON wallet via TON Space, there is a network fee in TON.

How can I withdraw HMSTR from Hamster Kombat app to Wallet

The withdrawal of HMSTR to Wallet was available only until September 21. This withdrawal method is no longer available in the Hamster Kombat app.

Earlier I tried to connect Wallet to Hamster Kombat but got the error message “Unable to Link Wallet”. What should I do



If you received this notification, you were not able to withdraw HMSTR to Wallet as you did not pass the verification successfully. In this case, please choose another option in @hamster_kombat_bot to use for withdrawal.

It is possible to use any other non-custodial wallet in the TON ecosystem, such as TON Space, that supports jettons.

I want to withdraw HMSTR from @hamster_kombat_bot to TON Space. Can I connect TON Space to Hamster Kombat

Yes, you can. First you will need to connect your TON Space to Hamster Kombat. To do it:

  • Go to the ‘AirDrop’ section in @hamster_kombat_bot
  • Tap the ‘Withdrawal’ tab
  • Choose 'Direct claim' from the list
  • Tap the ‘Connect wallet’ button
  • Tap ‘Open Wallet in Telegram’
  • Confirm the connection

If you did not previously have TON Space, you will be prompted to create it. Make sure to save your 24-word secret phrase securely. Without it, you may lose access to the wallet you just created.

I tried to connect my TON Space to Hamster Kombat but nothing happens when I tap it

This is likely an issue with the Hamster Kombat app due to increased user traffic. Please wait some time and try again.

To connect your TON Space to Hamster Kombat:

  • Go to the ‘AirDrop’ section in @hamster_kombat_bot
  • Tap the ‘Withdrawal’ tab
  • Choose 'Direct claim' from the list
  • Tap the ‘Connect wallet’ button
  • Tap ‘Open Wallet in Telegram’
  • Confirm the connection

If you are still having issues connecting your TON Space, you can try updating Telegram via the App Store or Play Store and then force-closing and reopening Telegram. Rebooting your device may also help fix the issue.

I chose TON Space for HMSTR claim, and I see that the address added in @hamster_kombat_bot differs from my TON Space address. Will I get my tokens

You may see two different addresses in TON Space and Hamster Kombat if:

1. You created several TON Space addresses. For example, you logged in to TON Space from another device and created one more address in the app.

2. You use different Telegram accounts, with different TON Space wallets bound.

3. You look at your Wallet address, not a TON Space one. The current TON Space address is visible in the TON Space tab of @wallet main page. Read about the differences between Wallet and TON Space here.

You will receive the coins to the address added in Hamster Kombat.

You can try to log in with the desired address to the TON Space itself. To do this, you need to remove your current TON Space wallet via this instruction. After that, add another wallet address by choosing the TON Space option in Wallet's main menu and tapping on "Create another TON Space". You will have the option either to create a new address by tapping 'Start exploring TON', or to add an existing wallet via this instruction.

Important: make sure that you use the latest wallet version (V5) while connecting TON Space to Hamster Kombat. You can change the wallet version in the “TON Space Version” section of TON Space settings.

Unable to withdraw HMSTR to Wallet; I receive an error - “Insufficient funds for a transaction”


This is because you have connected a non-custodial TON Space wallet to @hamster_kombat_bot to receive tokens. You can see the address that you linked to Hamster Kombat in the TON Space tab on the main Wallet page.

HMSTR withdrawals to TON Space are transferred via the blockchain. Every transaction that is conducted via the blockchain requires a network fee, which is usually paid in TON.

If you see the message “Insufficient funds for a transaction”, it means that you do not have enough TON on your TON Space to pay the network fee. You can top up your TON Space in the following ways:

I accidentally created a TON Space account when choosing a wallet in Hamster Kombat. I don’t need it anymore; how can I delete it

TON Space is a non-custodial wallet in the TON blockchain, and it is not possible to delete anything from a blockchain forever.

With TON Space you can take part in various promotions within the TON ecosystem or participate in Fragment auctions and obtain anonymous phone numbers, nicknames, and Telegram ads.

If you do not need the TON Space wallet indeed, you can remove it from your Wallet account by following the instructions.

We recommend that you save your Secret Recovery Phrase, so that you could access TON Space again at any time. You can also turn on the email recovery — in this case you will always be able to log in to TON Space from the linked Telegram account — no need to input 24 words every time. I played Hamster Kombat before the listing, but don't see any coins in @hamster_kombat_bot

If you played Hamster Kombat but received no coins, it could be that you didn’t meet Hamster Kombat's criteria to receive HMSTR.
